Each child must be valued. Each child must have access to the best education possible. It is our responsibility as a District and as Board members to be united in this vision.

Hi, I'm Cindi Reiss and I am running for the Oakland School Board.
I am a product of the public school system, as well as the recipient of several degrees from the University of California system, including a PhD in Art History. Additionally, I have taught in the California system at the college level for the past 14 years.
Education has always been my core: it is what I know, what I do, and continually informs a vision of what I believe can be.
We all know that when you do what you love, it exudes from every part of your being... and when that happens, you touch hearts, souls, and minds in immeasurable ways. As teachers, we know this. As students, we've felt this. As parents, we believe this.
